Welcome to the largest little country in the world!

King Danny the first. This is Lovely, or at least a virtual representation of it. Lovely is a country, and a good one at that, although I would say that I'm the introduction.

It started with a man with a dream. That man was Danny Wallace and the dream was to make a new better country. That country would eventually be named Lovely . This happened after a TV series (named 'How To Start Your Own Country' which is currently being repeated on Dave) occurred to help bring this fair and beautiful nation into being produced by the fine people of Leafstorm broadcast on the BBC (and subsequently on other channels in other countries) and people flocked to it until we swelled to such a size that we rivalled the Marshall Islands.

However the TV series ended and 2005 passed by and Lovely now began its journey. Since that time the BBC and then subsequently Leafstorm opted to discontinue support of the country's online assets. Despite this many citizens have remained active and continued to support schemes such as universities, newspapers and radio stations as well as meet and participate in charity events as citizens.

This site set up by the then Prime Minister exists not only to form a basis for a community as has been the case of many previous sites but also allow citizens the ability to make an impact on their nation by uploading content onto the website. The industrious and creative spirit that has created many projects in the name of Lovely shall be supported more fully rather than being forced onto outside sites. Also it is hoped that much as how during the original broadcast run of the TV show when the old (and official) Lovely main site was updated weekly create a sense of change and dynamism of which the community can feed off.

If you want to know more of Lovely check out the official site, also look out for Danny Wallace's webspace for he is one of our Kings (a group of citizens have appointed a replacement King so as to ensure all kingly duties are seen to. Check out our 'Dramatic History' where accounts will no doubt be making their way eventually). Also along with Leafstorm thanks and appreciation must be sent to Pentagram who designed the flag that you will no doubt see on this site especially if you look under this sentence now.

You're welcome to come join and participate in our grand society btw, just register and then log in.
