I suppose you could even go so far as to give them a not all bad 3rd team

Spearing, Poulsen
Shelvey, J Cole, Jovanovic
Pacheo

Tevez is off to Corinthians then. What a strange move. I thought he hated the club and couldn't wait to get out, hence moving to West Ham of all teams?

He wanted to go home, he went.
Good luck to him. I like to believe he wanted to be nearer his family and i like that about him. A shitload of money helps I'm sure but he was a brilliant player in the premiership for all clubs.
Great player I'll miss watching.

Same. Was probably the best player in the league last year. He won everything in England, I think, as well as the Champions League.

He'll probably leave Corinthians in a year or 18 months anyway. Probably go back to Boca Juniors.

I always found it odd how Fergie wouldn't play him and Rooney together up front. They seemed to link up so well whenever I watched them.

He was awesome at utd but ultimately fergie didn't need him. I think carlos does what carlos wants anyway.
Given to villa then. I reckon mcleish is gonna ruin villa with shit boring football relying heavily on defence. Shame, Allbrighton looks like a star. Villas team now is shit boring. Perhaps Delaphonso or whatever his name is will play and be good?

I know. It's brilliant, isn't it  laugh laugh

Albrighton will struggle to replace both Downing and Young. To use a Sounessism, it'll either be the making of the lad, or it'll break him *breathes out heavily and looks menacing*

Given is a good signing for them, though. Better than Friedel. A 5 year contract on mega wages though is a bit odd....

looks like fabregas is off to barca then. He'll be an expensive bench warmer if nothing else. I hope he goes it'll be good for nasri to be the main man. If they keep nasri and van persie I'm gonna have a punt on them to win the league. Bookies are offering 8/1! Never seen such long odds on them. I truly hope they finish above city.

You think if they lose their best player they'll win the league?

Interesting.

Corinthians have withdrawn their offer for Tevez as they reckon they won't be able to complete the deal before the transfer deadline. Not sure why Man City are pissing about with the transfer fee so much. It's not like it makes a difference to them, really, is it?

Probably not but its worth a punt. Too many people writing Gooners off too soon. Theres still transfers to be made.
City wanted 9million up front for tevez and the rest over 4 years. Turns out Corinthians have about 9quid to their name.

Aye but we're looking to loan him out to get his wages off the books apparently.

Star players next season are going to be Keith Fahey and Carr umbrella Our starting line up for the first game, at the moment, is looking like this:

Doyle
Carr, Davies, Caldwell, Murphy
Burke, Gomis, Mutch, Fahey, Beausejour
Adam Rooney

Butland (who is about 17 or 18 years old and a GK), Kerr (a 19 year old CB), Valles (former Barca youth player, we signed him from some Dutch team last season, but he can player CM/LM/LB), Redmond (a very promising young RW/LW), Jervis (another youth player and is a ST)

We've already released Larsson, Jiranek, Phillips, Bowyer, Parnaby and Maik Taylor (although he's still training at Blues to keep fit, but may need to be resigned as 3rd choice) from their contracts.

Sold Gardner, Ferguson and Roger Johnson.

Martins and Hleb's loans finished.

Marlon King is out injured for the start of the season, as is Zigic (although his agent pretty much said straight out that Big Zig will not play in the Championship).

Jerome is probably off, as are Dann and Ridgewell too. Michel has played in a friendly recently after coming back from his loan, but is looking for a move back to Spain. Foster will be going on a 1.5m loan to Baggies with a 4m release clause at the end of the season, but I hope it's just a "loan him until we get promoted again" thing... But probably not.

Basically, anyone we can get a bit of money for are on their way out as our owners are broke as fuck. I don't think Carson Yeung is even allowed out of Hong Kong at the moment and even appointed his 17 year old son as director of the club  unsure

We're going to be relying on the team/squad I posted above, with possibly a few loans from someone, and our more promising youth players:

Alpaslan Ozturk (who was apparently really really shit in the friendly)
Brice Ntambwe
Will Packwood
Eddy Gnahore
Akwasi Asante (could possibly be in the first team squad at the start of the season)
Luke Hubbins
Dan Preston

scared not good times to be a Blues fan.

I can't think of any other single team that has ended up looking so awful 6 months after winning a major trophy.

Foster > Baggies on season long loan
Boaz Myhill > Blues on season long loan

Kind of glad we got a decent keeper in return. I think Myhill is pretty underrated. But still gutted to see Foster leave  Cry

We finally had a decent defence after the shambles that Steve Bruce left us with years ago.

From the team that got us relegated first time round:

Taylor
Melchiot, Cunningham, Upson, Clapham

indifferent (although tbf Upson and Cunningham struggled with injury a lot that season)

to the team that got us promoted:

Doyle
N'Gotty, Taylor, Jaidi, Sadler

 yikes

to the team he left us with half way through the season:

Taylor
Kelly, Djourou, Ridgewell, Queudrue

 unsure

There was about 3 years, maybe more, when we had a shocking defence.

Took McLeish a while to get it sorted, but when he did:

Hart/Foster
Carr, Johnson, Dann/Jiranek, Ridgewell

 wank

Now we're probably left with:

Myhill
Carr, Caldwell, Davies, Murphy

 Sad

Just added Jonathan Spector to our ranks  shades 25 years old and a pretty versatile defender who I quite like  upsmiley Welcome to Bosmanham City, Spector.

Also, this is a team made up of players who are currently available on a free:

(although I thought Ricardo was at Leicester as back up to Schmeichel, and Del Horno was at Levante?  dunno )
