If Hargreaves gets fit in the new year, and stays fit, I would pick him over Barry. But Barry is a decent back up for that position, I think.

Hargreaves, Barry otherwise but he's nowhere near as good. Carrick isn't destructive enough though has lovely passing.

Hargreaves hasn't played for 10 years.
Carrick is a great defensive midfielder, when folk say he can't tackle they are wrong and have obviously never watched man utd play. He passes the ball better than all of the others. Barry's a shoe in anyway.

I didn't say he couldn't tackle, he's not destructive enough to be left with the primary defensive duties in midfield.

'primary defensive duties' include tackling.
same difference, IMO you are wrong. Carrick is class.

he's class but he's often sided with Fletcher who can do his fair share of tackling, if you're having fat frank bolting up fowards to do his 20 shots at goal a game can you trust Carrick to do all the tackling himself? Not just the tackling though but the fouling and generaly physical distruptive presence on the pitch?

Just doesn't strike me as a player with enough hustle bustle.

Considering Carrick is supposed to be a great passer of the ball, he does seem to give the ball away an awful lot.

Carrick is amazing. It's no coincidence Spurs were terrible when he left. Still go with Gaz Baz though.

How about now?

Who do we take to the Euro's to play in midfield?

Parker, shirley? Barry has been playing well too, though. Carrick is still just bumbling about the Man Utd squad. Hargreaves isn't getting any game time at Man City (should've gone to West Brom.) Wilshere seems like yet another permacrocked England/Arsenal player.

It's going to be Parker and Barry isn't it? scared

Neither are bad players but they're not exactly the most exciting pair.

He caught Hargreaves disease. Supposed to be back in Feb but could well be dead.
