And am going to keep an eye out for the following cheap:

124. Half Man Half Biscuit - Back In The DHSS
<3 it, now to order the album that came out this week which is a) Named after my favourite tv drama and b) has a song with my name in the title , so it must be fate.

83. Radiohead - The Bends
It's okay, not had a chance to listen to it fully, granted, but can't really see what the fuss is about.

Any albums anyone would like to own, that are on that list, that they don't currently have?

There's loads I wouldn't mind trying...

4. The Redskins - Neither Washington Nor Moscow
7. Massive Attack - Blue Lines
8. The Wall - Pink Floyd
9. Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy. - Hypocrisy Is The Greatest Luxury
11. Ian Dury and the Blockheads - New Boots and Panties
17. The Beatles - Abbey Road
18. Michael Jackson - Thriller
24. Barenaked Ladies - Stunt
34. Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger
35. The Divine Comedy - Absent Friends.
37. PiL - Metal Box
38. Prodigy - Fat of the Land
44. Patti Smith - Horses
47. The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
48. Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense
49. Wreckless Eric - The Donovan Of Trash
50. They Might be Giants - Flood.
51. The Postal Service - Give Up
57. The Stooges - Raw Power
60. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
61. Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
62. Pixies - Trompe Le Monde
68. Pulp - This Is Hardcore
69. Motorhead - No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith
70. Modest Mouse - The Moon And Antarctica
71. Feeder - Comfort In Sound
73. Beastie Boys - Licenced to ill
74. The Kinks - The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society
78. Ian Brown - Unfinished Monkey Business
79. REM - Automatic for the People
80. Arcade Fire - Funeral
87. Graham Coxon - Love Travels At Illegal Speeds
91. Stereophonics - Word Gets Around
99. The Sonics - Here Are the Sonics.
102. Social Distortion - Social Distortion
112. Silver Jews - The Natural Bridge
114. The Beatles - Revolver
115. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?
118. Bob Marley and the Wailers - Catch a Fire
126. Black Sabbath - Paranoid
128. Pavement - Terror Twilight
130. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II
132. Crackout - This is really neat
138. Talking Heads - The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads
139. Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
148. The Rolling Stones - Exile on Main St.
149. The Divine Comedy - Regeneration
150. The Shins - Oh, Inverted World

If there's any on there you want that I have, I don't mind emailing them to people..?

Also, I think "86. Natural Born Killers Soundtrack (not an album in my books)" should be replaced. Tis not an album. Same with "97. Various - Drum & Bass Arena Presents DJ Hype" and "145. Various - Picnic: A Breath Of Fresh Air".

And I'm not sure what "95. Various - Nuggets" and "144. The Fall - The Complete Peel Sessions 1978-2004" are? Are they albums? Or a compilations..??

And "Primal Scream - Screamadelica" is on there twice. Number 96 and 29.

Either way, I think we have at least 5, maybe 6 that should be replaced. Anyone got any suggestions who didn't vote the first time around?

The Fall one is a 6 disc box set of 24 John Peel sessions. It's like 12 quid and I think they tend to be about 4 tracks long each so it's about 100 tracks, little over 10p each, brilliant value and really good for figuring out which Fall studio albums you want to buy rather than diving in blind. I justified including it as an album as even though it's over 7 hours long, I've marathoned that shit multible times.

When my computer finally comes home, I can email/burn you quite a few of those or burn you a few songs off each if you don't want to sit through loads of new albums. I'm suspecting the Redskins one is out of print as HMV have taken it off there site, I've not seen in in a shop for ages and Amazon say 'normally dispatched within 1-2 months'. So if anyone wants that holla.

When I saw the Fall Ithere was some DVD thing because John Cooper Clarke was meant to be the support but he didn't show. And I lay on the ground and went to sleep during that. And my mum left 2/3 of the way through, but didn't tell me she was leaving, and my hand was bleeding when I left, but it was very good anyway.

why is a compilation album not an album?  an album is a bunch of music released together, isn't it?
(originally, back in Ye Olde Days of 78rpm records, an album was an actual album containing a number of 78rpm discs - I've seen one at a record fair)

I fully understand that artists record albums to be released as albums, but why can't compilation albums also be albums?

To quote the first series of I'm Alan Partridge:

Guy working at the Travel Lodge: "So, Alan. What's your favourite Beatles album?"
Alan: "That's a tough question, but I'd have to say The Best Of The Beatles".

A compilation doesn't count.

it doesn't in the context of that conversation but it does in this context.

I think we should do a 150 collections of music you have to listen to before Lars decides they don't count.
